An elegant extendable teak dining table designed by Nils Jonsson who was known for his astute use of natural wood and his ability to create simple, elegant designs that were both functional and beautiful. His furniture has been exhibited in art and design museums around the world, including New York's Museum of Modern Art and London's Victoria and Albert Museum.
This 'Ove' model which comfortably seats 6 when not extended can, by the addition of 1 leaf, seat 8 and with the 2nd leaf, seat 10 people. Great to use when having friends and family round for a celebratory meal and a stylish addition to your home.
The table has been well cared for and has both it's leaves in tact. The top of the table and both leaves have been lightly sanded and coated in 4 coats of Danish oil in order to enhance the wood and also protect it for future use. As you will see from the photos the colour of the leaves and table top are the same though the leaves are slightly smoother than the surface of the rest of the table - please see photo 10. The table legs which are slightly tapered have a lovely wood grain pattern and are also in good condition with just a few scuffs.
