Designer Arne Jacobsen and manufacturer Fritz Hansen wrote design history when they launched this incredible 'Ant' chair. It was the first of it's kind made from a single sheet of plywood and was a game changer holding a prominent place in Danish and international furniture design history. When asked about the 3 legs, Arne replied "why have 4 legs when you only need 3?"
This very simplistic chair makes a real statement and would look good in any room of your home, whilst providing an interesting conversation piece. There are such wonderful colours in the wood - different shades of brown and some interesting shades of red. The underside of the chair has FH and Danmark engraved into a circle of metal (please see photos).
The artistic chair has been very well cared for and is all in tact with a few very minor surface scratches on the seat of the chair (only seen on close inspection).
