This versatile slimline sideboard was designed and produced by G-Plan in the mid-twentieth century. Part of G Plan’s popular ’Sierra’ range, the sideboard features two spacious double cupboards, three drawers, and a drop-down cabinet. The drop-down cabinet can be used as a cocktail cabinet or a desk (as a chair will fit neatly beneath the drop-down lid). The lower double cupboard can be used for storing bottles with glasses on the recessed shelf or for crockery. The top drawer has dividers for cutlery which can be taken out. (The original cream coloured felt used to line the cutlery shelf is still in tact but shows signs of use so has been covered over). The 2nd drawer has the red G Plan label. The highboard has a beautiful teak grain on both the exterior and interior, warm tones and rich colours throughout.
It has been carefully cleaned and treated with wood enhancer to preserve its natural original appearance.
The highboard shows some signs of use as expected - mostly on the inside of the cabinet but is in a very good vintage condition. Please see photos which can be zoomed in on.
